Nagging D1.2.2 Update Gone?
Has anyone else noticed that the pending infotainment update has now disappeared? I'm hoping this is a sign Acura has figured out the issue and recalled it to pave the way for another update.

I received that last small update without issue, and have not had any constant update available notification.
Hopefully, Acura has an update coming. I hesitate to mention this, but my service advisor told me there is one coming "soon" without me questioning him about it when I had my A1 service done last week. PLEASE don't take this for anything other than it is.

I finally got my issue with a mismatch between my VIN and ECU serial number straightened out with Honda. Now the Infotainment control module, or some such name, is on backorder. With all of the testing they did to reset my car, it still came down to that module. So I guess I wait for updates from the beginning, because they weren’t able to install the updates manually either because of the infotainment controller. Oh well....drive and enjoy!

It was the same way before the last update. We saw a few newer model builds coming from the factory with the new software load then shortly after the rest of us saw an available update. My bet is we will see the update by the end of this month (just a guess of course).

I moved and my home wifi does not reach my car.
Does anyone know if the built-in connectivity will do a system upgrade? Or do I need to tether my phone, or pull up to a public wireless spot?

ah, what a genius idea to have new buyers to be alpha testers!

When I went through the delivery process with the dealer 2 weeks ago, one of the things we checked was whether the new car had the latest version of 1.2.2.
We were both pleasantly surprised when the display said 1.4.3.

Hi all,
I just picked up my 2020 Rdx Advance CPO with 5k miles on Friday and encountered the 57d error while at the dealer when trying to update to 1.2.2.
The dealer looked at it and determined it’s a known issue and said Acura has been working on a new update for a while. They plan to make it a forced update apparently but have no time frame.
Has anyone been able to resolve this issue on their own? All the research shows it makes no difference if you use the OTA method or usb method. Or if the car is running or off. I have yet to see a post where once encountered the user is able to correct it.
The 1.2.2 update continuously shows and fails in this loop.

After a long and drawn out process between Acura, my selling dealer, and my infotainment system. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth it has been resolves.....almost. They could not install referenced update in my A-Spec, and the Service Manager, who is an excellent caring person in that job, says they are working on it and for some reason the A-Spec is not accepting the update. After wrestling with this issue for the past 15 months, I have learned that there is no reason for me to get myself into a neural knot over this. It will work out......and now, 2020 will pass into our collective memories of the year we wish never happened....but that’s not fair either. Our newest granddaughter was born 2 months ago and she is the delight of our lives. We are on round 2, with round 1 being aged 19 and 16. This is fun!

congrats on the new grandchild! That’s awesome, especially with her being round 2!

With this crazy-ass system, if you just turn it off for a time period that is consistent with your tolerance for waiting and start the car again and turn it back on and see what happens. As I shared above, the party line now is that the most recent update has problems installing on A-Spec models. I am not buying it, but I play along so we can all be nice, keep the stress level down and I can model the presence of the Triune God in me and working through me to bring His mercy and peace into your life. I am but a vessel......how about you?
