Loud pop and Audio and Nav are gone
2019 RDX tech. Today, While listening to SXM & Using Apple Car Play for Waze, a loud pop or electric sound came through system and all audio ceased. I can’t talk to the system and the system cannot day anything. Checked SXM, FM, and tried to make a Bluetooth phone call. Nothing works. Opened navigation screen and system has my position about 1/2 block behind me and has no idea which direction I’m going. The map spins around as it tries to sync up. Then when I turn the car off, the LCD screen will not turn off. It stays on with the home menu icons displayed. Tried turning car off and on several times but no improvement.
Any Idea what blew up?

Advanced
Check the 2 audio fuses under the dash first. Then try the 3 button reboot in another thread in this section. If all else fails, disconnect the battery for 5 minutes.

They call it a "black box" for a reason. Nobody will touch it except the electronics manufacturer or their reconditioning service.
It sounds like multiple systems are affected, so the fault is probably deep in the box, not peripheral modules.
If it doesn't recover on its own, or with the "reset" procedures, get it to dealer service. They will swap out the black box ( infotainment system ). Or in the offhand chance another module is messing things up, their diagnostics should pick it up.

Reset on its own
as I mentioned before, the menu screen would not turn off. We left the car to return 5 hours later. The screen was now off. My thought was either it’s fixed on its own or my battery is dead. The doors opened and the car started. Surprise everything works again. Nothing done other than leaving the car alone for 5 hours.
While you might think this is great, I hate intermittent problems. They will happen over and over but will never happen when you are telling the dealer who will simply tell you every in thing is working when they see it and there is nothing they can do.
How can owners tell Acura there is a problem that needs to be addressed?

You might want to check out this post. Acura seems to think it's a software problem.

The problem described in Acura Techline Summary Article BTS190401 Version 1, has happened twice to my RDX in the last three days. Both events happened on long tripsOn Friday, we were traveling with Airplay and Waze, listening to SXM radio, for 2.5 hours. Today we were traveling with Airplay and Waze, listening to a Podcast on Airplay, when the event happened after two hours of use. I hope this feedback helps to find a solution quickly.
