Cold Weather, Touch Pad and Leather Gloves
Below freezing this morning when I went out so I was wearing leather gloves. As I suspected might be the case the touch pad doesn't work with the gloves on - like many touch screens I've had in other vehicles. Fortunately, unlike some vehicles I've had, the door sensors for locking/unlocking do work.

Never thought about this. Does it work with those iPhone touch-tip gloves, do you think? https://www.mountainsteals.com/produ...glove_10251584
I do know that the new 'leather' steering wheel along with a new pair of leather gloves is a bit slick - not to the point where it feels unsafe to drive but a bit more friction would be good. This is with a pair of very new leather gloves with a smooth, unworn surface.
I, on the other hand, love gloves, and have an array of them. Fleece-lined, rough lambskin leather, cashmere lined fine leather, running gloves with e-tip (two kinds), wool gloves, ski mittens, etc.,
And a hat. I never go out in the cold without a hat. My current fav. https://www.rei.com/product/787053/o...arch-yukon-cap
It is not an outdoors-all-day hat, I have others for that, but it is a good in and out of the car and stores hat, and it folds up easily.

Not counting golf gloves and hats I have: 2 pair smooth leather dress gloves (mentioned in first post - on sale buy 1 get 1), 1 pair fleece lined rawhide (warmer than dress gloves but bulkier) and 2 pair of ski gloves, very warm and worn only during snow removal.
My only hat (worn only when removing snow, if then) - https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/redh...ol-cap-for-men

Yes touch screen gloves do work... we have already had a good 12 inch dump of snow and plenty of cool weather.
My favorites for driving are Head brand “running” gloves. (I got them at Costco) They are thin and stretchy and fleece lined and have silicone grips on the palms and fingers so they aren’t to slippery on the steering wheel. they have the touch screen material on the tip of the index and thumb.
