I got this notification on the AcuraLink app. Nothing shown in the Infotainment about this update yet, and I'm currently a bit busy to perform this update. Probably will do this later this week. Anyone got this?
I've received three messages in the Acuralink app (24Feb 02:22, 25Feb 00:31, and 25Feb 23:23) all with the same update info, but nothing at the car. My RDX has the 1.2.1 version (not sure the build number) already installed. Question for @rdxnguyen , what model RDX do you have? I have an Advance. Attempting to reconcile the system update build number difference (19451.2-you vs 19451.1-me). Does anyone remember what the original build number was for D1.2.1?

I don't recall that the previous Acuralink app release notified me of a new infotainment release. I found out by seeing the orange indicator on the auto screen adjacent to the system updates icon. The latest release of the app also provides this notification apparently and for reasons not understood, it reached back to the last release and notified that. I guess we will see if the next release is properly notified via the app.
Had mine replaced recently in a 2019 model and while most of the issues are gone the one nagging problem is still there. The playback of music cuts out intermittently and often. Really bothers me as an audiophile that playback of all carplay music isn't smooth. Dealer keeps insisting its because i stream music from the phone, but its not just streaming as some music files are downloaded to the device and this still happens. Anyone having this problem too? Thanks...
Been getting the same update message on my phone app too. My 2020 car was updated when the D.1.2.1 first came out. This is my second wave of messages in 3 days. Maybe Acura is trying to make sure owners update there cars that hadn't already.

I had some cut outs too with Carplay and isolated it to the cable connection either at the USB port on the vehicle or at the port on the smart phone. When I was sitting in the car in accessory mode with the engine off, I had no cut outs with Carplay music but did when driving, Use of an extension cable made it even worse. So I went out and invested in a more expensive cable that was better constructed and seemed to fit more snug to the car and to the phone. The number of cut outs dropped dramatically when driving. The vibrations in the car seemed to affect continuity on the cheaper cable but not the more expensive cable so much. You might try playing some Car Play music with the engine off and the phone in a stable position to see if your cable works better. If not, then you may have something else going on.

Thanks..I did have the thought perhaps it was something to do with the connection as I experienced the same problem while driving. It felt like something was loose and contributing to the drops. Anyhow, did your dealer ever offer to change the USB connectors in your car? I heard mine did on some others but that didn't rectify the problem other owners had, which may have been the system rebooting etc., so now I wonder if replacing the USB might be a fix for my issue? Anyone out there has their USB connectors replaced?

Since the better cable greatly reduced the drops, I never took the problem to the dealer.

Totally agree that a cable can help, but any drops at all should be eliminated. I had CarPlay on two very good after market players in another car and never had any, so having them reduced is great but there shouldn't be any IMO. Thanks.

I got some drops after the cable replace which took place before the most recent software update. I think that helped too. Recently I think any that I do have might be the rare software glich which is corrected when the infotainment system is rebooted. Hard to tell for sure.

I did and haven’t had a drop out since. Now with the TSB for the Drive Mode Change error completed I got a new center gauge cluster I am golden! If the can solve the squeaks from the suspension and brakes I’ll be a happy camper!!!!
I've rec'd 4 of these same messages in the app since 2/24. The most recent was a yesterday 3/2. Does not make any sense since the Infotainment system D.1.2.1 update was done 4 months ago on November 4, 2019
Acura thinks we are bunch of idiots that do not check for new updates or that this release is not important
Hmmmm, not so sure. ‘Bunch’ is for grapes. Nah. ‘Herd’ is for cows and buffaloes, etc., so, no. ‘Flock’ is for sheep. So, yeah, maybe they think we are a flock of idiots. But ‘bunch of idiots’ also works as a phrase. They certainly don’t think we are a ‘pride’ of idiots.

Its just a LATE EMAIL about the recent update. Been getting these since I bought the car and signed up for AcuraLink. They have always been late. Noting to see here, move along.

yes, nothing to see, just shows you how screwed up their system. Notifying two month later about very critical software update, right on time!
I recently tried the app again. I just felt like I was missing something. The app takes too long to respond and is still very buggy. After two days I canceled. Just too slow and sometimes not responsive. I tried on my wifi and cellular network. Just not for me.
