Seriously, this product has been panned in this forum multiple times. Maybe this is an updated or improved version, but I remain skeptical. And @thoiboi is right; wait until you actually get it and test it before starting a thread and don’t point to “reviews” provided by the company to prove your point.

Go F--- yourself. I will post what I feel might be of interest to others on the Forum.

If you bothered to search on this forum prior to wasting your money, others, myself included have purchased this item in the past and it DOES NOT work on the 2019+ RDX. The other Acuras listed on the website reviews have the old radio setup and it may work there, but it DOES NOT work with the 2019+ RDX infotainment system.

Sorry you wasted your money. Good luck with the refund as getting money back from this company is like drawing blood from a stone.

First off I know that some reviews can be bogus just like the bogus fixes for issues brought up in this forum. I am really amused with the suggestions on this forum regarding the infotainment system. It's all over the spectrum of this and that fixes it, until the next time. And if I need to get my money back, no worries here. The few times I have dealt with bogus purchases my AMEX card has refunded my purchase without any problem. Also in the reviews I posted the 2019+ RDX is listed as its working and in the meantime I have found other Acura success stories with the device so perhaps its not the hardware per se but the user installing it.

Wow.. no need to get defensive and aggressive here.. Sure you can post 'whatever you want' but when other forum members in the community are telling you from previous experiences that it hasn't worked out, what makes you think your situation will be different?

My initial post still remains valid, you're getting overly aggressive about an item you don't even have in your hands while ignoring other's first-hand experience.. So how about you just get it installed and reply back once it's up and running?

Sorry it can't be pushed as user install error, as there is nothing to install short of the device in the USB port. I had direct confirmation from the manufacturer that it doesn't work with the 2019+ RDX infotainment system, which was contrary to their website listing "Acura 2017-2020" assuming all vehicles during that timeframe use the same infotainment system. It does allegedly work with the prior infotainment (Top/Bottom screen layout).

I look forward to your continued positive contributions to this forum, especially your review of the wireless CarPlay unit when you finally get it.

Good or Bad, will for sure let the forum know. It shipped so I expect it maybe end of next week. Of course it’s coming from China like all tech gadgets these days.

I will wait until Apple creates a portless iPhone (possibly the next iPhone) and releases their own adaptor. Too much risk with aftermarket adapters right now. An iOS firmware update could easily render them useless.

It DOES work in my wife’s 2020 RDX...I ran into an issue related to her AT&T phone plan that prevented it from connecting. I proved that by using my iPhone that has a different plan and it worked without any issues just like it does in my Lexus. The company was very responsive and provided additional instructions within minutes of my request to update the firmware prior to making the connection to the car. The $129 was well worth it to add wireless carplay. Follow the inrtsuctions and make sure your phone plan includes “internet tethering” or “hotspot” access and you’ll be up and running in minutes.

As for the Acura software, that’s still a C minus...

Great to hear, can't wait until I get mine. Right now I am LMAO at all the expert naysayers.

Any updates? Still very curious on this one as I'm hopeful a "wireless" solution resolves the odd electronic beep sounds while in carplay.

I’d be surprised if it still hasn’t arrived @tecwerks … curious if you have any updates?

I pinged cplay2air to explicitly ask about the TrueTouchInterface Acura radios in the 2019-2021 Acura RDX and 2021+ Acura TLX. They replied and said it is supported… not sure if I can trust them but hopeful your experience can solidify it.

Yes, I received it and tried in vain to get it to work. I gave up after a few hours. Some with a 3g RDX say they got it to work.

Next step was to get my money back. That was a circle jerk as well. They wanted me to pay to ship it back to China and pay a restocking fee. Glad I have AMEX as I contacted the fraud department and they promptly credited my account and informed the seller that since the item is either defective and/or it just is not compatible with my vehicle even thought they state it is the seller would need to send me a prepaid return shipping label as well as refund the entire amount paid. So far no word from the seller. The AMEX rep said he seriously doubts the seller will respond. The time period for a response has elapsed so case closed and I have my money back.

What about the Carlinkit 2.0? It’s sold at Amazon, so there wouldn’t be a return hassle, but before I try it I’m wondering if anyone has tried it. My RDX is a 2019.

It will not work reliably. I have it for my 2020 Lexus and it works flawlessly. I bought another for our 2020 RDX which claims to compatible but it would only connect 1 out of 10 times. Not worth the hassle. It’s the Acura software…
