When to expect 2022 RDX info?
If you watch the first minute of the above ^^^ video on the NX, Zach makes a funny comment about the RFTs.
Interesting to hear the feedback on this too. I test drove a 21 and it sounded fine to me, but I did not take it on the highway. I'm assuming much of the road noise came at higher speeds?
(a) The car is too noisy (have to yell to be heard from the backseat).
(b) The audio system is poor.
A-Spec and Advance improve on (b).
Advance improves on both (a) and (b) because of acoustic side glass.
Alex on Autos tested an Advance and gave it an A-. (Start at 16:38.)
But it looks like they have added much more in the 2022s.
I want to go electric next, though, so no upgrading for me.

I test drove the ASpec when it first came out and felt it was pretty noisy. I think that was mostly due to the fake engine noise though.
Can't speak for the Advance because that had acoustic side glass, but my 2019 Tech is super noisy. I have had passengers complain that:

For example, the new NX350 measures in at 70 dB at 70 mph.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything for the RDX on their site.

We have these types of discussions about phones and laptops all the time -- the same display causes headaches for some and is perfectly fine for others.
Yes it will at least for the tire noise. For ride quality, probably not as bad as pre-MMC ASPEC because ASPEC-A has its unique adaptive suspension tuning, unlike pre-MMC A-SPEC which has somewhat mismatched front damping.
Salesperson called Saturday to say that my car should be here sometime 3rd week November. They also gave me the VIN and it is indeed an very early build. We will see if it shows up 3rd week.

Exciting to hear! The time is almost here.. It looks like Acura is building the Aspec with Advance first before changing over to the other variants. All the inventory I seen in transit on Acura's website or on the lot is this type of build.
Sony, you sound like an insider. Can you help me understand why the paint finishing is so inconsistent on these cars? There are some complex areas, notable above the door sills where they have completely missed paint buffing; it looks like a horrible aftermarket job because the reflectivity is so inconsisent in these areas.

No, I am not an insider. I do follow some areas of the auto industry, have a few Acuras, and also modified one of them to learn about chassis/powertrain/brake tuning and more. So I know a bit about what to expect from a given set of specs/components.
To Acura, if you want to cost down and hire cheap development driver or UX tester, PM me 😁

Sales manager called to say my Advance trim RDX is scheduled to be built mid-November and arrive at the dealer in mid-December. This surprised me as he had set my expectations for a 16-20 week delivery. I asked if he did a dealer swap and he said no.
Start/Stop
What an inconvenience! We are looking at the 2022 model. Moving up from a 20017 model. My 2019 VW GTI has a button on the console that disables the start/stop until one presses the button again. I keep it OFF.
There's a company called Idlestopper that makes a product that turns auto start/stop off for the '19-'21 RDX ($80) and I'm checking with them if it'll work with the '22.
'22 owners can contact them to be notified when the revised product is available. Matt expects that to be by the end of this year.
Nice, glad to here that! Can you also take a look at the infotainment software version? Perhaps if you know how to go into the diagnosis menu, can you kindly go "Unit Check"->"ICU" and take a picture there? I would like to see if the infotainment HW is the same as pre-MMC one.

I was confused because their website says it has a fully digital dash: https://www.acurainfocenter.com/page...e-the-2022-rdx
[/list]Either they made an error on the website, or it was a last-minute change to remove it.

Acura has used misleading verbiage with "all digital" as that's really only describing the middle MFD portion b/w the analog gauges.
