USB Speed Test

If anyone has used the USB Audio and were impatient with the loading of the Music library, I tested a new drive that is a 3.1 USB/SSD drive with 400mb/s read and write times. My music library used to take anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes to appear and now it comes up in about 15 seconds. The drive speed does matter at this point until a caching system is placed in the code for the infotainment system. I was informed that this would be a feature upgrade somewhere down the line to increase performance.

In my test I used a Corsair Voyager GTX drive with 128GB of space that is about 90% full in exFat mode.

So far so good on the speed, but annoying as the drive sticks out a bit unlike my prior drive which was small enough to close the cover over it.

(Your mileage may vary)

Hmm, does the system support exFAT? I saw in the manual that it support only FAT32.

I dont have as large of a library ( ~ 35 GB of mostly Flac 5.1 files) but when i upgraded to a Samsung MUF-128AB/AM FIT Plus 128GB - 300MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive for $25 @ Amazon i have had blazing fast speed and no issues Im running exfat as well. BTW this is a really small drive but my door will not close as well.
