US vs. Canada Prices
I just noticed that the RDX is considerably cheaper in Canada than in the US.
US MSRP for the A-TECH AWD: 45,500$ (USD)
Canada MSRP for the A-TECH AWD: 52,950 (CAD) = $40,892 USD
That's a $4,608 difference. Looks like those 'free' floor mats are quite expensive now. LOL

I suppose it would be cheaper if you were paying in USD but, if you are in Canada, you are earning and spending in CAD so it's really not cheaper. USD doesn't enter into the equation.
IMHO, the prices are still higher in Canada vs. US.

Also the Elite Platinum is 60k, not sure where you guys are getting 55k (seen that in a couple places here). I added extended warranty and a protection package and managed to get the RDX up to 71k!!!!! Holy hell. 71k for an RDX is ridiculous! I don’t care how nice it is.

According to Acura.ca the cost with Freight, PDI, and Fees is $57,662.50. Without those items the base price would be $55,490.
That is the price when entering my central Ontario postal code. I believe the price can drop to $52,962 in other parts of Canada.
$57,662.50 CDN converts to $44,749 USD (today) no matter where in the world you live.

According to the sources, Trudeau pressed Trump on how he could justify the tariffs as a "national security" issue. In response, Trump quipped to Trudeau, "Didn't you guys burn down the White House?" referring to the War of 1812.

My point, that several are missing, is that Acura sells the RDX for several thousand less in Canada. I'm not saying that we are more lucky, that we get a better deal, or that Americans should all drive north of the border to buy their RDX.
I'm saying if Acura can sell the RDX thousands less in Canada, they have the margins to eventually give some interesting incentives. Not 'free' mats and 'free' car washes.
You're right that the destination fee should be included in the comparison. It's $995 in the US. The RDX is still $3,600 less in Canada.
Sales taxes, salary, income tax and currency are all irrelevant in the selling price comparison.

This is really a good example to show that prices are set by the marketplace, rather than by ‘cost plus’ as some people think. The RDX is a good 10 thousand more than a 2.0 Accord with the same engine/transmission. Since Acura only charges 2K for SH-AWD, how much more than an Accord could the RDX truly cost to make?
The market in Canada is different from the market in America. It is as simple as that.

Yes and no. Some dealers will not sell to non-Canadian/American buyers. I remember a few years ago someone on the VW forums living in Ontario wanted to purchase a VW Touareg hybrid new from the states and no dealer would entertain him even though he wanted to pay full price. He even had a house in new york and they still wouldn't sell to a Canadian citizen.
With that issue aside, Acura Canada and Acura America are 2 different entities and if you purchase an RDX in one place and live in the other, your warranty will not be functional in the other country. So all warranty work is out of pocket unless you drive/tow your car across the border for warranty work.
