Surround View Camera Poor Quality - Replace Lenses?
I noticed that a one of the key features of the Advance Package is the surround view camera and that it's getting panned for having low res/poor image quality. Are the camera lenses something that can be replaced with an aftermarket part to get a better image?

It might be possible, but then you need to find lenses that are an exact replacement with the existing housing. Plus, altering the rear view camera will undoubtedly void your warranty there...
Agreed though, the surround camera quality is abysmal. It gets worse because on the screen the camera doesn't go full screen, it really goes 2/3 of the screen because the far right is the 2nd menu, and the camera screen just looks small.

I doubt it is just the lense, it is likely a low res sensor. I agree, looking at the surround camera on the RLX and RDX I had a better system on my A6. I guess they need to save the money somewhere.

I too thought the Surround Camera in the Advance looked really crappy and cheap. I use my rear camera in my current 17 RDX all of the time, and would love to have one in the front as well - but the implementation in the 19 Advance doesn't come close to the 17 RDX backup camera.
Very disappointing

I have the surround cameras in my TLX and MDX and while the quality isn't the greatest, I can still easily see around the vehicle and that's whats important to me. I don't see the point or need of HD quality for the 2-3 seconds they are used for.
