Rotor and Brake pad replacement, OEM or 3rd party?

I have to replace brake pad and/or rotor soon. I read here the OEM set is bad, which I agree, mine squeaks too.
I want to know if I should stay with OEM or if there is a 3rd party set that works better for the same money. Thanks

OEM are going to expensive and the same as what you have. I did a upgrade to new slotted and drilled rotors with semi-ceramic pads on another vehicle where it warp the rotors and was super happy with the increased braking performance. Here is one set (fronts) I did a quick search for. Do a little homework before you buy a set. https://www.powerstop.com/product/po...k=ACURA&mo=RDX

OEMs rarely make their own parts for components like brakes. They're usually re-labeled parts from other manufacturers. Rumor is Honda uses Akebono.

thanks for your inputs. Akebono stated they are the OEM for the RDX on their website. Their price is pretty much the same as oem. I saw a bad review youtube video for the powerstop so I am a bit hesitant. The more I try to google for a good 3rd party, the more it seems the Acura OEM is "good enough".
