Real Carbon Fiber Dash Trim
Some of you may have seen these pictures on FB, but wanted to share here. Recently I finished wrapping my dash trim in carbon fiber (yes it’s real carbon fiber cloth covered in epoxy, not cheap vinyl wrap). I’m ecstatic with how it turned out as I wasn’t a fan of the suede dash piece.
Pictures don’t do it just, looks and fits like OEM, and really goes well with the interior. It was a lot of work but very worth it. I wish there were more trim pieces so I could tie the CF in throughout the interior.

You forgot to add "wrap" to your title.

That's freakin' sexy... Ignore my pedantic nitpicking of wording I understand that you're trying to say that it's NOT vinyl wrap now.

Yeah that’s my message... it’s not vinyl wrap. Which is why I didn’t put wrap in th title, because then I would have had 1,000 questions on where to buy that same vinyl wrap!!!

That’s absolutely awesome looking, by the way. Great job on the finish.

If you’re not planning on selling these, mind doing a thorough write up? I’m sure folks would love to know the process, aches and pains, and ultimate success you went through.

I love it, it looks incredibly sexy and well put together! To the point I'm questioning why Acura didn't do that from the factory!
If I have one nit pick, it's that you need to do some more interior trim pieces because it looks borderline out of place. The only issue of course is what other pieces can you really do. I was initially thinking those aluminum door pieces would look cool, especially with that line that runs up the dash. But unfortunately that piece that runs up the dash would probably be a major pain in the ass, not to mention that aluminum matches the speaker grilles and also who would cover real aluminum! The next idea was to do the gloss black center stack. However it also would be a pain because of the tight button placement.
So yeah maybe just leave it alone, but for real. VERY nice joh. I'm very jealous and absolutely love it.

Yeah I agree on the continuity, problem is there’s just no easy way to tie it into the rest of the interior.
Funny thing is, I replaced the a-spec suede dash insert with with leather one because I thought the suede looked like a different material than what’s on the seats. Then I thought the leather looked out of place because it’s stitched in black and not light grey like the rest of the interior. So I can’t win hahaha.

Ever since I saw you post this in the RDX fb group I can't look at the suede trim piece the same anymore lol. Just keep thinking about how good your custom piece looks

Looks great, that suede piece in the dash as far as I am concerned makes the ASPEC a non starter, that and the inserts in the seat. The rest of ASPEC I absolutely love.

Though you’d have to become a vendor here to be able to sell on AZ.

But he did wrap it, he did it with a real CF sheet, not CF-looking wrap. But it’s a wrap.
Me? I mighta just nailed it on and been done with it. But I admit that the non-wrap carbon fiber sheet wrap looks better than a nailed-on carbon fiber sheet woulda.
Lots of work went into that, and it looks damn good.
