Prices Paid and Offers Accepted 2019 RDX

On my RDX Tech I installed the OEM hitch for $335 parts only without the light kit; if you are getting an Advanced there may be more involved but $1700 seems high. My install took about an hour I bought the parts on eBay..
#883
I felt it was fairly high... but I really haven't seen much talk about it.

Most dealership website has inventory, you should check them out individually. I'm not sure if there is an aggregated view of all the dealerships out there tho.

The hitch is only $370 which means he is charging 1300 for labor. That is excessive, even at $250 per hour labor, you are talking about 5 hours installation... I'll bet he is using this as negotiate tactics, to come down on this labor as part of your overall "discounts"

Just received an offer with $3900 discount off MSRP on a 2019 RDX AWD Advance from a Dallas area dealer; out the door price is $47750 including TT&L and other fees. There is no trade in or accessories included. They don't have AWD Advance with the color combination I was looking for, so this is for a factory order.

Thanks. I test drove one there the other day but heard bad things about how they don’t come off in price and they add on phantom costs, so I’m glad to see that what I heard is likely false! It’s way closer than Goodson Acura which is the other dealer I’m looking at.
#893
Ahhh... good to know. I would’ve told them the same. Vandergriff is just down the street. Goodson came up through the Costco deal, which may or may not be a good discount....I am still waiting to hear a Costco price from Goodson, but sounds like I can stay in my own backyard and get a pretty good deal! Thanks!

Looks like WeatherTech Floor Liners are out for front row. I saw this new listing on ebay
https://www.ebay.com/itm/WeatherTech...cAAOSwkHJbmUfL
But, I dont see this listed on their official site. Any Clue?
Also the shape looks little off to me as per picture.

Invoice on RDX AWD Advance
Have any sites posted invoice or does anyone have a sense for invoice on the 2019 AWD Advance? I have a one local dealer telling me the offer I currently have from a competitor is about $500 over invoice which is too low for a car high in demand for the local market (Houston). I have not asked her for the invoice, but thought I would reach out here. I have not seen anything posted online. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The infamous dealer added markup
There are plenty of 2019 RDX to look at in Tulsa OK. Surprising since so HOT. That said the photo is a highly marked up RDX at a dealer 100 miles away.. I offered $43,300 out the door (tax later) on an AWD Tech but the added markup was firm. I think it was silly to tell me NO way. Would anyone really pay crazy prices on accessories?
#899
I did not bother asking since she did not yet even have the vehicle (not yet in production) and it was for our second choice color. Trying to get an AWD Advance in Houston with your desired color combo has been a challenge. We have been dealing with one particular dealership and have agreed on a price for the specific car and accessories...now we wait for him to find it or through the dealer's allotment. We think it's an okay price given the scarcity of AWDs in Texas, but nowhere near invoice.

I'm rather surprised at the lack of SH-AWDs available in the south. For $2k, it really is money well spent in my opinion as I would not consider a FWD version.

Same issue in Atlanta. I had to drive to Chattanooga to get the exact color combination I wanted in an Advance AWD. There were none to be found at any dealer in GA. Because I was interested in one particular vehicle, I was only able to get a few hundred off MSRP, but did get free all weather mats, and was in and out of the dealer in right at an hour, maybe a few minutes less (which was a first for me.)

You will getting your RDX sooner than we thought. We are already at $3500 -$4000 in Texas area. Someone said that it would never happen but one should never say never. $4000 is the sweet spot so I personally think if you can hit near or on that target you are getting a fair deal on the vehicle. Of course, their will be those that want even more and I applaude you if you do get more. If I can get $4500 off one in 2020, I will sell my 2019 and get a 2020 model to last me for a while.

What happened to all the people that said that getting $500 off is the best deal and it will never get any better?

I was very happy with my $3600 off when I bought it on Labor Day...I have no doubt that it will go a bit lower but don't expect things to get crazy. I think that by December (inventory time) that $4000 is easily doable.
#905
congratulations! You got very good price for current state of the market. Dont worry about future price, you got very good price for current market, so you did good
#906
Yes congrats on the purchase and deal. That is fefinately a great price and even better RDX you got there.

First off all, thanks to this forum for posting buying experience and price paid. I think this is the best place to know how much folks are paying in particular area.
I Bought White/Ebony Advance last weekend with $3600 off from DCH Montclair NJ. Didn't have to press too hard for that. Have particular price point in mind and started with $500 lower than that. There was no trade-in or accessory purchase involved. Hopefully will be getting 50% off ($200 max discount) coupon from Costco as this purchase is associated with Costco Auto Program.
I did test drove 2-3 times at different dealership and almost compared almost 5 dealers nearby in terms of pricing. DCH is pretty aggressive in terms of pricing if someone is potential buyer in Norht NJ area.
Very happy with purchase and so far didn't see any issues other folks are experiencing on other threads.

DCH is in my area or reach, will check them out when I am ready

No, I didn't pay extra for destination charge. So 48395-3595=44800 is what I paid OTD. Good thing is if you get them to less than $45000 as cost of car, you avoid $181 Luxury Tax....

To everyone - how is the ride on RDX in general. I am in the market for a crossover and have ordered a GLC which will be delivered end of next month. But after seeing RDX, am starting to like it. Plan to test drive it this week. Not sure how easy/hard will it be for me to cancel my order on GLC and get my deposit back.

"So 48395-3595=44800 is what I paid OTD." That is some bad azz deal you got. Congrats. Do you mind sharing the name of sale rep you worked with at DCH Montcliar Nj. I was thinking if I could refer this deal and ask him/her to offer me the same. Sounds silly but I am very bad at negotiating.

Also I gave reference of previous deal posted here with $3600 off MSRP with $3000 accessories in same dealership and they happily agreed to it. But I don't want accessories from them, so have to do this drill.
Good Luck with your car shopping

After researching values for my trades and invoice pricing on the RDX, I offered the two closest Acura dealers my '17 Ridgeline RTL-E with 21K miles and '18 Accord Sport 2.0T 10AT with 4K miles in exchange for a '19 RDX Advance FWD, paying off the Accord ($7,362) and a difference check of $5K.
Dealer A came back with a difference check of $1,250. I said no, thanks.
Dealer B came back with a difference check of $2,300. I said no, thanks.
Dealer A called back and asked what's the least I would take. I said $5,000. They said they'd work harder and call back.
Dealer A called back again and said $3,750. We agreed on $4,205 and I made the trade.
I spent less than 30 minutes researching and negotiating this deal and 30 minutes at the dealer to sign papers then I was on my way. I didn't pay sales tax because of the negative trade difference. I also got exactly the trim and color I wanted.
In a nutshell, I got high book value for the Ridgeline and Accord and $1,900 off the RDX on paper. In reality, I probably got closer to $3-4K off the RDX. Dealers like to show high numbers for trades on paper so it looks like they paid more for a vehicle than they really did. That way, when a used shopper comes in and offers $32K for that Ridgeline, the dealer can pull out their handy dandy paperwork and show them where they paid $33K for it and can't possibly sell it for less than that.
