Need source for 12v ~15amps

Hey guys - I am wanting to run a separate 12v lead for my 2 meter Ham Radio. I need at least 12 amps so 15 amps should be fine. I have temporarily used the rear 12V accessory jack in the back but I cannot run the radio at full power - not sure how many amps are being supplied but not enough for my application. That being said, I thought I would as the gurus here. The auto stop start does cause some grief as well as the voltage drop can be in the low 12s instead of the 13+ as the radio stays happy there. I can work through the auto stop by disengaging as needed.

Any thoughts and recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Very cool, are you using one of the smaller antennas on the roof?

If you are using the interior fuse box you can use the rear heated seats fuse as it's 20-amps fused. There are a few others you can also use but I'd use a "mini add-a-circuit" fuse to tap that's sold locally at auto parts store.

I am using a mag mount, an inexpensive one. Routed down the left side of the hatch...I will have to look into the "mini add-a-circuit" fuse you speak of - I haven't heard about these. Makes sense though...I haven't crawled under the dash yet to see what my options are. I am looking for ideas before I create a new opportunity for myself.
