Multi Information Display
Does anyone know how to get the Multi Information Display to stop defaulting to the trip computer. Every time we start the car up it always goes to that screen. Couldn’t find any mention of it in the manual.
Thanks.
Thanks.

My experience so far is if you change it to one of the other screens, it will stay there for as long as you’re still driving. But once you turn off the engine, upon restarting it, it will go back to the Trip Computer which I find rather annoying. I don’t get why we can’t have a choice.

This morning I went out to the local doughnut shop and had it on the tire pressure display - 5 minutes later when I came out and restarted the engine it was still there. I don't know how long it will stay on the selected screen but at some point it will go back to the trip screen.

Generally that's the case. For short stops it will stay where you left it but will eventually return to the trip data.

IMHO shortsighted software. Acura needs to hire better programmers that are car enthusiasts as well.

But the same Multi Information Display in previous Acuras always stay in whichever screen you last used. They didn’t look as nice graphically as the one in the RDX but the types of info available are virtually the same. Wonder why they decided to change the programming.

Pure, unadulterated speculation on my part but it's significant, to me anyhow, that the default screen just happens to show current fuel usage. With the current emphasis on fuel economy it could be a factor in the decision to try to make people more aware of economical driving. Having an Advance I don't look at the instrument panel anywhere near as much as I would without HUD but I can see where it might make people more cognizant of what's happening.
