Does anyone know there's a way to reset the keyless or smart entry? Car battery died. Keyless entry worked before it died. The key fob will unlock the car and recognizes it to start but attempting keyless lock or unlock doesn't do anything. Settings don't seem to do anything. I do have an iHDS and Launch programmer which has the immobilizer listed but am reluctant to reset using it. I tried every setting that I can find.

 

It doesn't sound like you have a problem with the fob, since the engine starts. That also eliminates the immobilizer as being the cause of the problem.

Each of the 5 doors has an antenna which transmits a signal a limited distance (perhaps 3 feet). Have you tested if all 5 doors are not working. Possibly the fuse that powers the system has blown.

Also keyless entry does not work if the fob is within about 6 inches of your cell phone. Have you tested this at a different location in case there is some radio frequency interference at your home, for example a noisy CFL or LED bulb in your garage door opener, or a HAM radio operator next door.

 

There is a fob reprogramming sequence on a dealer website. Unfortunately it isn;t real clear as to the model year and model to which it applies. See key for reprogramming
