Interior trim misaligned in new 2022 RDX
Hi, I'm new here. My gf just got the 2022 RDX with Tech package and I noticed the touch pad and trim around it are misaligned, with a big gap on the left side and that same left side popping up a little from where it should be. This should not be like this on any car, never mind an Acura. Not good fit and finish here. I spoke to one of the main service guys who was really good and he said he's been seeing this a bit and that it's the new ambient lighting bits that are responsible (the white plastic lights up at night). It's clearly a defect on Acura's part. He said they've tried replacing parts with limited success. He does think Acura will probably recognize this eventually and address it, but for now there there's not much they can do other than trying to replace the parts. I'm taking the car in next week and they hope they can address it.
Thoughts? Anyone else with a MY22 have this issue? Any solutions?
Gap on the left side
It's popping up a little here and you can see that black fuzzy tape peeking out.
Right side is ok.

Took off the leather panels to investigate and the touchpad assembly is simply not lining up with the center tub that holds the cup holders. I don't know how it left the factory like this.

The dealer we purchased from is an hour away. It's also REALLY simple and easy. I took those two panels off with my hands only in about 20-30 seconds a piece with zero issues. I am reasonably skilled at this stuff as well. The week I got my new 2017 Chevy SS I took apart the whole dash to remove the instrument cluster and the radio/media box to send off to be reprogrammed to Holden's software (The SS is a Holden Commodore that Chevy imported from Australia for four years). Anyway, if it was complicated I wouldn't have done it, and I didn't even try it until I finally found a video on it.

Yea, the pieces literally pull off and snap back in. I've had them off trying to track down rattles on my own. I'm assuming since you pulled them apart, you also tried to put them back in place to no avail? I'd say the only thing would be a bad casting somehow where the panels aren't aligning, however, if that's the case, it's a pretty glaring oversight by their quality control department as well as the dealer in their PDI to overlook that.

Yeah I'm disappointed it got to us like that. In our case the GM was involved in our purchase and personally instructed the PDI guys to get our car done ASAP. I told him not to rush it, but I guess when the GM tells you to hurry, oversights are more likely.
I'm hopeful it will resolved quickly.
