Interior Trim Removal

Has anyone removed the trim pieces in their RDX? I'm trying to figure out how to take the grey piece on the door off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to wrap them in matte charcoal

You probably just need a pry tool to take them off. I have been wanting do this also on my RDX. I think they are just held on by clips.

you have to take the door panel off and take it apart to remove the bolts that hold on that trim. I started with the Center console trim pieces since they are easiest to get off.

I believe that handle trim you're talking about has a screw behind it, where you pull to close the door... I remember feeling a screwcap in mine, I'd check, but my RDX isn't with me right now...

The glass shop scratched the hell out of the trim on my drivers door panel when they installed window clips last year, that's a long story itself...

Their pry tool created such a sharp edge it could almost cut your hand...

Be careful, and this won't happen... It was taken apart twice before they did this to it, so it was a neglect of time and care, not difficulty to remove/replace...

Best wishes!!!

yeah i'll post pics once i get around to removing the door panels. its cold here in Canada now lol. Going to attempt to take the rear door panels off today. I also have some "tint" vinyl for the headlights and tail lights that i want to install. It sucks I didn't do this when the weather was better.
