I had my 2019 RDX repaired for damage by a deer collision with the front bumper. However, when I received the car back from the autobody shop the car now has these odd flaps over the back side of the air duct. I do not recall these being on the car when I purchased it. As well, I can now see into the fog light housing, etc. through the air duct. My initial thought is that the autobody shop didn't order a correct black plastic modeling part and jury-rigged this setup. Thoughts? Also, does anyone have a picture of their air ducts/wheel wells?

Wow! Thats horrible! I would make them fix this immediately. To be honest, I would not even trust them to fix it again.
agree 100%..its not even the correct part. My uneducated guess would be they didn't have access to the part (possibly not available) so they found what they thought would be close . Thats terrible.
Should just be the back end of an open duct as shown in the second post. That's the duct that creates an air curtain over the sides of the front wheels for better fuel economy. A quick look at any new RDX on the dealers lot will show they don't have any flaps over their ducts.
