Help me decide interior color and tech package

I’ve settled on the Modern Steel Metallic exterior and need help deciding on interior. Have always had a parchment interior on my vehicles and I’m bored. Other options are black (hot in summer? not as much contrast. But looks cool) and, if I get the tech package, graystone (contrast a plus but is it boring/bland?).

Also unsure about leatherette vs leather and if tech package is worth the upgrade. The extra features like blind spot and stereo upgrade are nice but I’m not sure I care $3k. Reading reviews of leatherette in general, it sounds like it may actually be preferable to leather. I keep a car 10 years and trying to gauge which material will endure better.

My take...I bought my Son for graduation from Grad School a 2018 Accord Touring in Modern Steel and it looks awesome with the black interior. Beautiful combination. Not a fan of gray interiors at all...reminds me of 20 years ago and "cheap" but that may just be me. You need to buy what presses your buttons and not what folks like us tell you on the forum. Exterior and interior colors are very personal but, since you're asking for opinions...I say MSM with the black interior is my vote.

I've always been a strictly no gray interior person, because gray always reminded me of 20 year old GM cars. But a couple years ago I was given an MDX tech loaner in fathom blue pearl with graystone interior and it fully changed my mind on gray. Acura uses this light grey almost creamy color and it looks really good with the black contrasting dash. I personally did not find it boring at all, actually kind of cheery and relaxing and very very classy. That's my vote.

As for if you need the tech features, honestly the base model is super loaded for a base model but you also don't want to regret not getting it in a few months. I always say buy the most expensive trim you can afford.

One thing I noticed in my RDX dealership blitz last week is that the “black” interior is almost a really dark grey, certainly much lighter than my black leather Gen 1 and Intégra. It’s really nice and will be my choice.

Y'all are really helpful. Thank you. I think my problem has been that I've had too much time to think about it. LOL. I decided on the RDX about a month ago but don't want to purchase for another week or two (I could wait till mid Dec but need to make travel plans for pickup). Anyway, my gut feeling in the beginning was the black but I was second guessing myself with all that extra time to peruse the internet. And I looked over the tech package again and do want to go with the extras. I especially like the blind spot perk. And given how much my spouse listens to music, the stereo upgrade will get some use.
