Has anyone installed the Start-X remote starter?
I tried to install it but it is very tight fit at the BCM and I for some reason could not get the BCM to unhook from its mount to gain better access. I got the first 3 plugs in after much fighting and the just could not get the last two to line up. I ended up throwing in the towel and returning it. If you can get the BCM off the mount it should be relatively easy install.

It is behind the driver side knee bolster left of the steering wheel shaft. It is hard to see and all work that I did, had to be done by feel only. IIRC I looked up pics of the BCM to see what it looked like then found it under the dash by looking up from the floor with a flashlight then felt the connections to feel that they matched the pics.
Nope
I am a handy man, and I installed many remote starts before for different cars, but I do not think it is an easy job as the BCM is hidden high behind th driver side and you have to unclip it to access the ports or do it blindly! so I went ahead, and I installed the factory remote and I programmed the Keys Fob with Launch tool.
Launch Scanner
Launch pro 919X X431 OBD2 All System; it is Diagnostic Scanner Tool w 31 Services. Price goes from 350$ to 450$, I got mine open box for 250$. By this tool, You can activate 2 way communication and register a new Key Fob.
