Force Time Update

I have my infotainment set to automatically update time/date. Annoyingly, it hasn’t adjusted for daylight savings, so my time and gps info like arrival time are off by an hour. I guess I can set it manually, but is there any way to force the automatic update?

Set a home location on the GPS? Works on "most" systems with GPS capability, but YMMV.

Also, you may have to have "information sharing" enabled.

I don’t know what “information sharing” is - how do I enable it? Should I? Is it one of those “we collect data to improve your experience” systems? I’m not against those, if it actually does anything. And lord knows the RDX experience could use some improvement.

Go into the menus for the built-in Nav ( three bars in the upper right corner of the display ) and scroll down to "Connected Features". That should show "Enable". If not, select that option and change it.

OTOH I just checked the "arrival time" for a destination on my built-in nav, and it's off by an hour! Grrrr!

Yeah my “connected features” were already enabled and my home location was set. Clearly someone at the Time Update Desk fell asleep. I ended up just changing it manually.

Yes.. it is confusing.. I was initially misled too after the clock change. The clock is correct, but just the navigation estimated time is off by an hour..Anyhow, I have been using the Google Maps on Apple Carplay instead of the navigation system (which doesn't give me good traffic info anyhow); problem solved by not looking at the navigation system...
