Exhaust

Hello, I replaced the rear emblems on my 22 tech package RDX with black ones. I now want to change out the chrome rectangular exhaust tips to rectangular black ones but can't seem to find any that are the same as what's currently on the vehicle, just in black. Has anyone done this and if so, where did you buy the parts? Love the black emblems but looks a bit off with the chrome tips. Thanks

Do they come off? The ones on the RDX Aspec are welded on. To me thats a easy DIY project - clean off the tips, mask off the area, light sand so some new high temp matte black paint can stick to it.

Looks like one screw (#13) removal each allows the (#6) exhaust tip to come off?
The chrome black paint below looks pretty good?

Consider as well the high-temperature paint that is formulated for gas fireplace doors. I use a Rutland Product that is good for 1200 deg. F. It is pricy at Ace Hardware but with some shopping around it can be had for a about $20.

The Ace offering is at Rutland Black High Heat paint. Note that is a brush-on but I've purchased it in a spray version. See Rutland Paint spray version
