Door handles falling off RDX PMC

Anyone experiencing door handles falling off their RDX? They are breaking off when opened in the cold.
I haven't seen reports of it online, but I had my second door handle fall off this winter.

It is a 22 PMC, with the gloss black handles. Seems like the handle is all plastic and becomes brittle in the cold? Not sure if this is unique to the glossy black used in the PMC.

Annoying as Acuracare doesn't cover handles and the dealer needs to take the door apart to repair so it is expensive.

The online $229.90 cost for the component below is ridiculous, let alone the retail of $328.33.
Let me guess, it's at least another $250 in labor, lol?

Wow. This is crazy. I would reach out to Acura and have a chat with their customer service folks. This is unacceptable for a car that is supposed to be "hand built".

Just updating to say that the dealer (Ira Acura, Westwood, MA) covered the second handle replacement at the dealership level. I've been a loyal customer with 3 current Acuras serviced with them for years, so that was nice of them to do it.

Great that the dealership did that. If Acura hasn't changed anything with the materials, then it looks like it is likely to happen again? How long are you planning on keeping the car?

We have 9yr Acuracare on the RDX so no rush until a better model comes out. Wife wants to see how the 28 RDX Hybrid is, if it is no-button / all-touch like the RSX prototype we'll pass.
