Differences Between Trim Levels
Differences Between Trim Levels
What are some of the differences you have noticed between trim levels that aren't heavily advertised? I've noticed in a lot of vehicles sometimes manufacturers don't list out every single upgrade you get with a trim package upgrade. For example, with SH-AWD you get a real spare. Wondering what the Tech package gives besides what is prominently listed. Did they leave anything out of this list?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a new RDX but it absolutely kills me that you can't get the largely cosmetic A-Spec trim with the Advance options. I see I'm not alone in this. Torn between getting the A-Spec or Advance. The acoustic front windows, HUD and 360 cameras are features I'd really like to have but love the A-Spec look.

You don’t get the entire “look”, but the Adaptive Dampners, sound deading materials, real wood accents, kick to open tailgate and HUD make it worth it IMO.
Rides better, quieter, just as fast and looks great.
that being said, if you like the ASPEC Blue, or the red interior accents, you can’t have the Advance options.
I would have paid $50k for ASPEC W/Advance trim, but $54k, I couldn’t justify purchasing the RDX. I would have moved to another Mercedes.

Here is my take for what it's worth,
The HUD, 360, adaptive dampers, acoustic front glass and hands free hatch (could be wrong on this one) are all nice features. Some of those aren't even well implemented. Are they deal breakers for you or just nice to have ? Everyone has different deal breakers . If they are not, then grab the better looking Aspec because they will bring you a smile every time you approach the car.
i test drove both tech and advance, I hardly could tell the difference in local roads. On highway, i can feel the advance model firming up a bit but hell if I don't drive both on the same day, I probably couldn't tell the difference.
I get aggravated on the 360 because the quality is so poor and distorted when you compare the likes of BMW or Volvo. But I have hopes that software fix may adjust the aspec ratio.
HUD is nice but nothing you couldn't get from your dash or screen. If you use Waze, directions won't show up.
.
hands free hatch, really handy and as well as the rear heated seats if you care about your friends but it's use is really limited.
My problem is that I don't really like the red colored dash. If I was younger I might have enjoyed it. But it just seems obnoxious, and hard to readrwith my aging eyesight and no HUD to use instead.
The NSX colored combo is more elegant but that's a digital dash.
All in all, I will settle in on the advance for the dash reason. Recent review videos have been shown advance or tech with black rims, that looks nice so maybe I will swallow the 2k for better wheels.
