Dent In Liftgate

I have done some searches, but I wanted an opinion. My wfie and I have an older home with a smaller garage and my '23 A-Spec liftgate hit the garage door when I wasn't careful and in a rush. I didn't realize at first the shallow dent it made in the liftgate is plastic. Traditional paintless dent repair wasn't an option, but can some places still heat up and smooth out a shallow dent without repainting?

If the paint is still relatively intact, PDR might still be an option depends on the size of the dent.

I took a few pics in different light, but it's still too difficult to see. It's a shallow dent.

My main questiion is will PDR still work in plastic instead of metal for shallow dents?

I thought the material was just plastic skin, but a google search showed it is fiber-reinforced composite. Better ask a really good PDR guy. He/she can test it out on an inconspicuous spot, and tell you how far a repair can be done.

Thank you. I'll reach out to a few places I know and see.
