Default F/R Power Distribution with SH-AWD?

Curious if Acura has actually said what the default power distribution is for SH-AWD - if I guess based on the dash it defaults to around 70-30/60-40 for mild acceleration. AIUI it can put up to 70% to the back and 100% of that to either side.

it constantly adjusts for what’s best for the cars grip and fuel economy

Turn on the graphic, and it shows what each wheel is doing. The default seems to be whatever the car needs. Floor it, and the rears dig in. Apply light power on the highway, and the fronts take over.

Yeah, not sure there is a static default that matters in any meaningful way. If the MID animation is accurate, it truly is a dynamic system. I've seen every possible power distribution so far, except diagonal. It's an interesting show.

I have a nice uphill sweeper to get on the highway from my home. The radius is good and you can keep your foot in it. I loved taking it in my 535.

In the Acura, with the graphics on, you get lots of rear wheel as you accellerat into the turn, heavy outside rear as you keep your foot in it during the turn and it pushes you around it, and front wheel pull as you light-foot it up the hill to prevent yourself from going too far over.

It is not as fast as the 535, but it is plenty fast enough, and gives the same satisfaction.

I've noticed with my previous and current sh-awd vehicles, the max tq vectoring % usually doesn't happen until low speed maneuvers like:
- slowly driving up a very steep hill to switch to 70% rear
- lower speed aggressive turns
- starting out on snowy/icy road

The system returns to fwd bias system once the speed picks up. Supposedly, the all new TLX will have the next gen sh-awd that is rear bias. Don't know if all awd TLXs will have the rear bias sh-awd OR only the TLX Type-S models? If all TLX awd will have rear bias; then, the RDX MMC might switch to rear bias sh-awd system.
