Was Finally able to have SFactor- Fabrication make me custom splitters for the front and rear we were unable to add side splitters as there is no where to attach them so I might just add running boards to complete the look !

I don't understand the point. Truthfully. Does it help with airflow to increase speed or mpg? It is called a "splitter". Would you mind explaining?

purely for looks. which is subjective. as the RDX isnt very aggressive looking and the "splitter" doesnt look like it belongs. sometimes, people just add things to their car for the hell of it.

and I bet there is some place along the sides to attach them too, how do the running boards attach?

 

To each their own, some people put everything in the autozone cosmetic section on their cars but in the end its their car. I've seen rear wings on trucks before that just puzzled me.

 

splitter is purely for looks I have more parts to add on to the front end I like when the car looks more aggressive !!

i disagree I think the rdx Aspec looks aggressive IMO but that’s just me ! The running boards only have I believe 2 spots to attach the splitters need multiple it wouldn’t work out so running boards are my best option if I want to add them , I got the front lip also I’m gonna wrap cf and put on , but we all have different styles what makes the car world go round 👌🏻

 

nothing on my car is from auto zone I assure lol and yes I’ve seen the mdx with the wings which I also don’t understand, but yes to each their own it’s what makes the car world fun

right now it looks out of place, however, it might work well if you keep adding on more aggressive pieces. add more canards and splitters and lower the car with fat race car tires and wheels.

 

oh I don’t consider them wings but I guess agree to disagree respectfully ! Yea I have the front lip that I’m waiting to get wrapped carbon fiber since I have the other front pieces wrapped cf and I’m going to paint all the plastics to match the car so the front should look more aggressive , I just ordered the eibach springs. Everything will come together in time 👌🏻

 

your splitter has a winglet, airplane wings have winglets.

a splitter provides downforce, a spolier provides downforce.


in any case; wings, splitters, canards are using the concept of fluid dynamics to provide pressure for either lift or down force.

 

i think you want me to call my splitters something else sir lol maybe wings 😂😂 lol

I actually like the look. I'd like it more if it were functional.

 

Front piece is a little big, IMO, but it complements the blue and black trim nicely.

Where I work, there is a new white Toyota Highlander with a similar splitter kit and it looks sexy AF!

 

Let's not forget what Acura did to their own RDX 😉

ugh I know I wish they really would ! We are so limited on rdx parts we gotta think outside the box and get creative which I’m trying to lol I also love the GRP rdx !

 

The thing definitely needs a drop. Also, the wheels, although great for the factory look, doesn't suit the look you're going for very well IMHO.

 

I'm surprised how good the diamond cut 2G wheels look on the 3G. A 3G A-Spec with a drop and those wheels would look pretty damn good, especially in white. Hmmmmm.

 

I just ordered the eibach springs today lol so hopefully soon I really didn’t wanna mess with the wheels to much I was debating powder coating the stock ones gloss black but maybe I’ll look into some wheels see if I find anything

I saw a slammed RDX on the Insta-Gram, and it looked pretty sweet. Almost looked like a wagon.

Therefore, I declare that this RDX must be slammed so it looks like a wagon. Then the splitters will look even betters.

 

I think it looks extremely "aftermarket".

But, it's the OP's car and if he's happy, that's all that matters.

 

I like it. Did GRP happen to tell you how many sets of springs they had left? I know they're limited. I'm in westchester too. All black a-spec, no mods just tints. I'll give you a honk if I see you!

love it @Shelly_Aspec , thanks for posting your results. Did they have to remove the front bumper for the install - and did they have to drill fresh holes near the center? how much did it run you? From what I know the A-spec bumper can't be configured with the oem front spoiler online, but there's another thread by Edwinrdx that has both the oem front spoiler AND a splitter on an A-spec.

yes I have the custom exhaust , springs will be here tomorrow she’ll be lowered soon 💪🏻 I just did the precut tint on the tails and headlights ! It’s all coming together ❤️❤️

 

thank you so much ❤️ , they didn’t have to take the bumper off to install , they drilled rivets into to hold in place , but the front splitter with winglets and rear splitter I paid 300! Sfactor fabrication made it he’s on Instagram and can make them for you any way u want he’s really cool dude ! Are you talking about the front lip they sell for the rdx but they say doesn’t fit the Aspec but it 100% does fit the Aspec ? Lol if so that’s what I wanna add to the front next also make it more aggressive have both

 

Yep! Though I was mistaken, Edwinrdx has an advanced, not an A-spec (his thread linked here). And as I understand it the front bumper needs to come off for the lip install unfortunately (also it only comes in silver)

 

for that lip I believe the bumper needs to come off to go on but I’m not 100% on that . But a lot of Aspec bought it and painted it to match the car , I’m going to wrap it carbon fiber u can even wrap it gloss black doesn’t have to stay silver 💪🏻
