... Or you can just go classic, stick your phone to the windshield, connect it to AUX for audio and power up without car play.

You’re absolutely right. Mass production can be a bitch. But a car at this price point and at this very early stage in life is incredible disappointing. Our family has had 5 Honda’s in it ranging back to 97 and they’ve all had rattles, but not to the degree that the ‘20 RDX has already encountered in just over 3k miles. I’m sure more will pop up. I hear some intermittently already. The build quality of this RDX is abysmal. Heck, we even have a 2002 Monte Carlo ... the interior looks like it was made by Tonka but it has less rattles with over 100k miles. The Honda we sold with over 260k miles had one rattle in the moonroof over bad bumps, but that was it. The German cars have had rock solid interiors with a few minor creaks usually during parts of the road that make the body flex. Even American cars that I chastise for being put together like crap have all been more solid. The only one I can remember being worse is my dad’s 95 Blazer that I’m swear they stuck marbles in every piece of trim. Lol. You didn’t realize the rattles tho because EVERYTHING rattled. Haha.

On top of this, driving on the highway yesterday to work, I looked down at the gauge cluster and everything was off. It was a brief second and the cluster had gone out completely. It was only a brief second to check my speed. Looked back at the road and I had a “wait a second” moment and looked back and the cluster was back on. I’m sure this is a sign of things to come.

Personally, I could not in good conscience recommend this car to anybody. When (not if) I get the infotainment issues, might just set this thing on fire and collect the insurance money.
