Has anyone tried to use this? It says it also applies to accessories.

Interesting. I became a Costco member during the pandemic (during the dark “Don’t Starve” days) and I’m still learning about more benefits. That said, I don’t think this one is going to be one I use; the only New York City location is what looks to be a pretty rinky dink place in Queens. I’d rather use the dealer for the important stuff and my local trusted mechanic for the rest, even if I’m not getting a “discount.” Also wary of what a discount would even mean. Better a trusted mechanic than one who marks things up or adds extra work only to discount it.

I used it a few years back to buy a Toyota Highlander and it worked out nicely but not sure how it works with parts and repairs.

Yea, pretty pointless for you to trek to Astoria. You can probably find tire places that will do just as good if not better than CostCo. Their prices on batteries are pretty good though.

How was it buying a car from there? I've heard mixed things. Biggest thing I heard is that you could take the CostCo deal, bring it to the dealer and almost all will instantly match or do better than the deal. Obviously not right now with the market, but when things start to normalize ...

We bought our 2014 and our 2021 thru Costco, same dealer & same sales guy, even. It was pretty easy. The 2021 was $250 over invoice...I don't remember what the 2014 was but probably pretty much the same.. Costco tells you which dealer(s) in the area take their deal and give you the contact info for them. They also give you the invoice info. We set up an appointment, went in & picked out the car, they showed us the invoice (it matched Costco's exactly), we met with the finance guy, and about an hour later drove off in the new car. We didn't have a trade so no hassling there. Could we have gotten a better deal? Maybe but we were satisfied with it. When/if we buy another car we'll definitely look into using it again.

We got the parts & service offer too but didn't have any need for it.
