Sorry--I did confuse you with another poster. Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. Hoping for the build this weekend--then--the uncertainty of when it gets to the dealer.

And the Metro Area is 20 million. And I have not seen one on the road either, although they are moving through the dealers; how many could they have possibly put on the road by now, two or three hundred?. There are a few thousand people short of a million in my county alone.

I'm in Mississauga, Ontario (near Toronto) and it's funny because the only time I saw one on the road was when I picked mine up from the dealership. Coincidentally, I saw one at an intersection a few blocks away from the dealer when I left. Never saw another one again. I too have been wondering where they all are!!

With a published target production of 50,000 units a year it would be safe to say they've probably made 6-7K so far. Spread that over at least 2 countries and they're not a thick as ants at a picnic yet. Be glad they're not - makes your more unique.

With 250 million cars in the US and maybe 5K of the new RDXs on the road, the odds of sighting one are slim at this time.

Back to the original question in this thread. I was told by my dealer that my White/Parchment AWD Advance build window is 7/15-19 (4 days to build?) and he expects to have it the week of the 23rd. About 200 miles from East Liberty, OH to his location so maybe no trains involved? We shall see.....

'Window' was my term. His email to me was " with a scheduled production date of 7/15-19 " - maybe it's a start window, maybe tentative dates, maybe it takes 4 days from start to finish.

It would be nice if that were the case but the next sentence in his email was " If everything goes as planned, I should have the RDX at my dealership the week of 7/23 ".

Just a group update. When we ordered our RDX (a Saturday) the salesman told us on Monday the build date was 7/15. I just reached out to him to check and he stated they didn't have the VIN yet and that it was supposed to be built the 11th thru the 15th.
When does the VIN normally come to the dealer?

Strange that you guys are being given build dates. None of the four dealers I spoke with in my area mentioned anything about a build date for color combinations I was looking at. They all simply stated I have X OR Y coming in the next 4 or 5 days. They were all correct except one dealer. I got a call from three of them within a day of each other about the car being available. Only one mentioned putting a deposit down and that was not even an option for a mass produced car. Either they have it or I will go elsewhere and get what I wanted.I guess in areas with less dealer options they can play games longer to try to make it seem like they are limited.

I suspect in my dealer's case he was able to look at scheduled production and dealer allocations and was able to 'cut a deal' and have it reallocated to him. Can't say for sure but that's the impression I get from the total content of his emails.

I live in Chattanooga (1 dealer in town) and deal with a dealership near Nashville (2 hours). There is 1 dealer in Knoxville (2 hours), Huntsville (2 hours) or a bunch in Atlanta (2 hours+). I have bought a car from the Huntsville dealer (TSX Wagon) and the Nashville dealer (‘12 TL). By far the dealer in Nashville is the easiest to deal with and seems to be the most honest.
Guess I went into this to say I have limited choices and the dealers near me have a monopoly in that area. Some seem willing to talk to you, some not so much.

OK, this gets me going.
’Fewer’. If you can count how many, it is ‘fewer’; if a matter of degree, it is less. Count=fewer. If some people have 3 dealers, and others have one, they have FEWER dealer options.
I would be less upset if people made fewer grammatical errors.

I negotiated around a 500 mile radius and got a great deal a couple hours away in the Chicagoland area and agreed to terms for new vehicle in late June. The GM had a few potential trades to go after for my color combo (which is hard to find....White with Ebony interior in AWD Tech) and so they got on a list for one being built July 11 that is supposed to arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. It appears it's about a week from the time the vehicle is being built until it gets delivered.

OK, here's mine. It's the almost universally misused 'more than/less than' ratio comparison.
Bill has $100 and John has $10 - Bill does not have 10 times more than John. If he had 10 times more he would have $110. He actually has 9 times more, $10 + 9 times $10.
You could say that Bill has 10 times what John has and that would be correct - but not 10 times more.
Likewise John does not have 10 times less than Bill. If he had 10 times less he would have either $0 or -$990 depending on which number you were multiplying by 10. He does have 1/10 as much or 10% as much - but not 10 times less.
Class is now dismissed.

Math? I didn’t know there was gonna be math involved.

Fiasco update; Majestic Black Advance arrived at dealership on Sunday{!} build date week was first week of June [last # of VIN 000439] that's six weeks , but at last it's here. Next hurdle, getting the PDI done , Service Dept could not get to it today and they are back logged, sales can't say when it will be ready for delivery. With that low of a VIN no-one can explain why it took so long-- other similar RDX in area with similar number VIN have been on the lot for weeks.
