B16 at 10K Miles?
Our 2021 Advance with just over 10K miles just threw a B16 on the MM. Rear diff fluid change at 10K miles? Seems awfully early.
Any idea of the cost at the dealer?
I'm tempted to do it myself but it's awfully hot in my garage...108F outside as I type this.

Our rear diff service came up at 11,917 miles in Dec 2021 on our 2019 RDX bought in Sept 2018.
I just looked on the Acura dealer receipt and it was about $110, including the fluid, washer, another washer and labor. It looks labor was $65 of that.
We also went ahead and the 'transfer assembly fluid' changed at the same time, also about $110

These all seem like very low miles to be getting this stuff done...but what do I know. But, if dash says....last thing I want is something going wrong and some dealer saying "but you didn't get the fluid changed you were supposed to..." and for $100 bucks no point in risking anything...

It needs to be done first time around 15k, then every 30k. MID rounds up based on time, usage and milage.
rear diff change is easier than oil change, I did not even need to lift a car. Not sure why they charge so much money, the parts will cost under $30

When my wife's RDX is due, I'll do it myself. That will save about $85 and also save 2 hours of my time taking it into the dealer for the change.
