If there's a will, there's a way. I'm sure this can be retrofitted for USDM RDX's. I had a 2012 CU2 and I bought the wiring harness, mirror switch and motor from a guy in Europe so I could have power folding mirrors on my US-spec CU2 and guess what, it worked.

Even if we can swap the Canadian models folding mirror, will they work the same? I mean, the MDX have folding mirrors with the button on the side. Plus, I wonder if we can also set up lock to fold it.

Even though power mirrors are present on the current MDX and previous RDX, the design work still needs to be done for the new RDX, Parts selected, costs and sourcing, engineering, design and assembly drawings need to be done, planning, methodology, etc. It's not rocket science but it all takes time and personnel. They wanted to start production on US models by a certain date and the final design was not expected to be complete by that date. So, they establish a cutoff and leave it out. Once it's left out for a particular model year, they almost never introduce something mid-year. Otherwise, it creates a configuration nightmare. Then, weeks or months later they start production on the Canadian models and the design is ready for assembly. So the Canadian models get the power mirrors.
I'm not saying that's what happened and I'm not making excuses. That's just an example how these things go. I'd be almost shocked if they are not available in some trim packages or optional in the 2020 US models.
Personally, I find it more objectionable that they left out the remote start module. It's just a module, bracket and screw. It can't be more than $100 added to the cost of the vehicle at the time of assembly. But they charge $700 and have to rip your interior apart to install it as an option. Pisses me off.

Seems like someone over at the Facebook RDX group was able to retrofit the power folding mirror modules from canada spec to his US version. He hasnt posted exact parts number yet but his post reads:
"The first US version with the added power folding mirrors installed. All plug and play no cutting harness or adding wires!! Acura you can’t call your local Acura dealer and get the parts. Would have to be a dealer in Canada. You will he needing new mirrors, driver and passenger window switch, mirror switch, driver front door harness and sub harness, and passenger front door harness and sub harness? The dealer I dealt with is Acura of North Toronto"
