ATF Replacement and Level Check
ATF Replacement and Level Check
I was going to post this in the DIY but figured it'd get more views here. I'm no where close to needing a fluid change but just curious if anyone has a pdf or how to for changing the fluid/checking level on the 10AT. I know the manual says this is a dealer only thing but I prefer to do my own work. I found a link for the Odyssey which is the same transmission, post #5.

It seems you have to be registered to view the links posted though. Any help would be appreciated as I'm sure others are interested for when the time comes.

I will keep digging b/c I am like you and like to do my own basic work on my cars and likewise have been trying to find this information.
I suspect that they use the method of three bolts: One on top to fill, one on the side to check level, and one on the bottom to drain....or the two hole method like the 8 speed DCT. I swear that the removal of the dipstick was an attempt to kick some maintenance $$$ to the dealers to charge you a couple of hundred bucks to do the change. I know that many cars without the dipstick use this method. The trick is finding the correct bolts.
Someone will post a service manual (dealer level) or get the one day pass when the online service manual becomes available. I think that I asked about routine maintenance like trans service in the DYI section a while back. If I find a pdf I will post back.
