OK Have IOS 13.1 Beta 2 and GREAT NEWS. CarPlay boots ok and the touchpad is working so thats wonderful. Need to see if it fixes some of the other issues. Going for a drive in a bit to check it out....

I installed it yesterday, and had two hour long commutes to and from work. Back to normal. Normal being typically skipping, etc, but it will at least run, unlike the 13.1 beta 1.

My observations as well after a long ride. Still had display issues and I wish when using CarPlay you can totally shutdown the built in RDX Nav. Should be an option in the Settings. I had it just show up when I was using CarPlay with Music and Google Maps active and all of a sudden the Acura Nav started up giving directions as well. Had 2 sets of audio directions going at once.

 

I had opened a support request with Acura for this issue. They called me to say they were working on an update. The person that called didn’t know beta 2 was already out and fixed the issue, so that’s promising that it seems they are still busy working on fixes (much better than the alternative).
