Another day, another issue....Water in tail lights

Hey all,

Title of the post sums it up - I have water in my tail lights of my brand new 2020 RDX. Went out for a drive in the rain over the weekend and water seeped into both taillights. Attaching photos of each tail light with before and after the water dried. They look like hell..dried water turned into white markings...will only get worse over time. Wanted to love this car..but its just one headache after the next

From examining your pictures, it appears that the water is outside the seal, not directly inside the taillights. If so, then it's normal to me.

Water is on the inside of the lens...maybe the angle looks like its on the exterior. 10000% on the inside of the light

Since you have the best view, I'll defer to your call. But in the pics, it DOES appear to be behind the welded edge but not inside the assembly. Get it checked.

I had a very similar problem. Well, not exacty similar but worth mentioning. I was driving down the highway, maybe 70 mph or so, and a bug hit the windshield. Left a big splat right there in front of me, partially obscuring my view of the road. Huge safety issue!!! I tried washing it off with the wipers but that only made it worse - turned a splat into a streak. I immediately called my dealer and set up a service, but they had the nerve to tell me this was "normal" and refused to cover the windshield replacement under warranty.

Needless to say, I will never buy an Acura again.

He was trying to be cute.

It really depends if the water is inside or outside.

I'm assuming no news is good news, but did you get this checked? Inside or out?

Mine is the same way. After a wash, the tail light edges would be like what you posted in picture 2.

I think it was behind the outside bonded seam, but I also think the OP has had a lot of problems and was predisposed to assuming this was another one.
