Andrioid Auto Wireless
When I setup the 2022 RDX I was given an option for Android Auto as opposed to Bluetooth for connection. I selected Android Auto and it launches each time However, I seem to be having an issue with controls to manage the android wireless. I have never used Android Auto much so maybe I am in the learning curve. Does anyone have instructions on how to use Android Auto for the RDX?

Android Auto is not wireless. You have to plug your phone into the data port.

I waited around 4 months for my AAWireless to come which was a kickstarter which has been delayed due to the chip shortage. I have a 2019 and it works pretty well, definitely better than being tethered to a wire which was developing sensitivity issues everytime I nudged the connection a bit when moving around during driving. Android auto and carplay for our RDX never got the same truetouch controls as the Acura infotainment despite both being based on android. Apparently it was delay on google side for not wanting to implement it on their side so when going from Acura infotainment to Android Auto (AA) you move from truetouch controls to trackpad style control, which hasn't been too much of an issue for me but might be confusing for some. Enabling developer options helps with implementing Waze if you prefer Waze over google maps.

You have a 2019 with wireless Android Auto? How? What do you mean, you waited 4 months because of the chip shortage?

One of the XDA devs created an AA wireless hub on Indiegogo. He created the Headunit reloaded app which we were able to use early on when Acura didn't release AA. They were also hit with a chip shortage so you have to wait a few months to receive it. I ordered mine back in March or April and didn't get it until late September. It was supposed to come in June. Another perk of using this is if you rent cars often, you can just bring the hub with you and it'll connect through that and add AA wireless to that car.
The product works well but I'm trying to work out some kinks on my end. It seems to drop connection when my phone loses service and then it doesn't reconnect properly like when I go into an underground parking garage. Not sure if it's due to the phone or the way it works as it creates a hotspot. Also had to reconfigure some things once my S21 got Android 12. It wouldn't connect until I changed some settings.
