a fair comparison....and to me a waste of time. I only watched the start of this and once I knew what 2 vehicles were being "compared" to the RDX...then I stopped watching.
It's already "out there" that in it's segment....the new RDX is outselling ALL of the others in June and July and I will be curious to see if that continues for August. I think it will. Dealers can't get enough of them in some cases, and
those, like my dealer with a large inventory....move them very quickly. The new RDX is what most buyers that walk in to the Acura dealerships are wanting to see and test drive. Hugely popular now.

I cross shopped those vehicles... the interior on the stelvio is not more “luxurious”... it had a ton of hard plastics with sharp edges, the controls feel so cheap with the exception of the fantastic paddle shifters. The stelvio seats have nice leather and are comfortable but no where near as adjustable as the rdx’s. The Volvo is pretty nice (probably the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in) but weighs almost 1000 lbs more, and cost the most of all the vehicles I cross shopped.

So a 35 minutes long review and they couldn't even come to a proper conclusion?
At the end of the day this review was trash. Don't compare a stelvio with a Ferrari engine and a 400hp Volvo that cost twice as much to the RDX. What should have happened is a comparison to the base T5 XC60 and the stelvio with the 2.0T (both of which start near the top of the RDX price point and don't offer near the same features and tech for the price)
I do believe people will cross shop the RDX with the XC60 and Stelvio, however I think a better and more common comparison will be to the lexus NX and infiniti QX50. People who like European Luxury brands tend to not look at the Japanese brands. To me the RDX is an amazing value and I cannot wait to get behind the wheel of an A-Spec model by next summer hopefully if everything works out properly.

the RDX May have its bugs, but fuck me, Alfas are unreliable garbage. Great, so it has a Ferrari engine. How many Ferrari engines do you see able to hit 200k miles with ease? Sounds like it’d be expensive to repair also. If it was just an infrequent, weekend cruiser, sure. But as a daily driver, no way.
the Volvo is nice, but really, this comparison should be with the future RDX-S, instead. It’s definitely an apples to oranges comparison.

That “review” is just weird. It seems like they happened to have all three models at the same time between the two reviewing sources, and decided to get together for a review. They acknowledge several times it’s not a fair comparison as shown, and ultimately in the end start picking a max price like $45k, $55k, $65k conjecturing which they’d pick and at what trim level/engine. Call me glass half full, but flattery is maybe a more proper reaction. That car on the right is an Acura; that’s our RDX, not a Porsche Macan, or an AMG GLC 63, loaded X3 M40i, etc.
