Anyone setup Alexa on their RDX?
On my 2025 RDX, I tried to setup today. It requires that you create a HotSpot first (on your phone) to complete the setup. Once set up, it worked well.
However as soon as I turned off my HotSpot, Alexa stops working. Guessing it needs a WiFi connection and cannot use my LTE/5G connection. If that is the case, it is useless, and I will not create a HotSpot each time I go for a drive.

 

I had issues getting Alexa to consistently work in my RDX, I just use Google assistant. It does everything I need it to do so I stick with that.

 

I saw today that my new 2025 RDX comes with 3 months free trial of AT&T Hotspot Service. So I set that up. Once set up, then Alexa works (uses) the Hotspot.

It is a nice setup. I plan to play with this for a few months while I have the service for free. If I like it, then might sign up for the AT&T HotSpot (@ approx $17/month)
Would be nice to have so Alexa works all the time. And the wife feel she would use it on trips when we take our laptop or tablet in the RDX.
