adding name to address entry

when enter an address in nav, I can add that to favorite. However, I don’t see a way to name it. A list of names is what I want instead of addresses.
anybody knows?

I looked for you, too, and didn't see anything about editing or renaming a saved destination or favorite. I would want to be able to do that, too. I thought there might be an address book within which maybe you can make edits to a title, but interestingly, I didn't see that there's even one.

BTW, have you tried CarPlay yet?

I have Samsung Galaxy S8+. So I didn't try out Apple CarPlay yet.

BTW, I notice that if I enter a business address, it automatically adds business name in Favorite List. But for residential addresses, just bare address and I confused looking at the list as I cannot tell whose address it is.

if you have the person in your contacts can you upload the contact list to the nav and it should store that persons name and address.

I'm not the OP, but I asked him about CarPlay because when I was looking at the Nav manual, I didn't see any reference about an address book at all (precisely related to your question, re: being able to save an address to it and edit the name for it, or, like you said, sync an existing address).

Ok, as suggested, I add address to contact on phone and then open contact in car. When click on address, it tries to search on nav, but it just marks that address on nav and no option to route. Sound weird, but you got to try it to get what I meant. So look like I need to wait for an update

I agree, this is a bummer. I dropped a pin on the map today and can’t find a way to add a name for the location. I hope they fix this. My last two Lexus models allowed this and had an address book. The Navigation system really sucks the way it’s currently behaving!
