Interesting comparison between the ADX and RDX - I knew the outside was about the same size but I assumed that the insides were not that close but that's not the case. From a packaging standpoint it's almost a wash for interior space. I still suspect the next RDX moves onto the large car platform and is basically the sister car to the Passport in the same way the MDX is the sister car to the Pilot. It puts it right into the meat of the market against the RX (and to a lesser extent the X5 and GLE).

I really hope they don't make the RDX bigger. It is large enough and cities are becoming more dense. Parking spots are already too tight.

For me RDX is the right size. MDX feels too big. Lexus NX feels a little small especially the trunk and rear seats.

A Passport based RDX makes more and more sense everyday. Instead of trying to be a poor man’s Macan, position the RDX as a smaller and cheaper alternative to the GX/Land Cruiser or Defender. To me it seems like such a missed opportunity that Acura doesn’t just fully embrace the Honda lineup to use as its base. They’ve done it with the Integra, ADX, and MDX, but like the RDX the TLX and RLX and (OG) ZDX were its own thing. Is it a coincidence that those were the ones that died?
