2022 Suede Seats A-Spec
2022 Suede Seats A-Spec
Greetings,
I have 2022 advance aspec on order but wife mentioned concern about how the suede material will hold up. Not too late to switch order to just the advance package that has full leather instead.
Anyone have experience with the suede? Maybe someone already has 2022 or perhaps they offered on prior year?
Any input would be appreciated
Thanks

Same. Our 2019 A-Spec's suede has held up perfectly fine so far. The only thing I would say against/about the suede is that, unlike the regular leather, it tends to create drag or whatever you would call it when you slide out of the car. I had a 'Tech' as a loaner and it was noticeable exiting as it does not have the suede. Definitely no big deal....just an observation...in my opinion and experience.
Ultrasuede is a pretty tough fabric and is cleanable. It should wear well and not be problem unless you spill something that stains directly on it.
But I personally don't care for it as mentioned for the ingress/egress "stickiness" it has. I haven't sat in an A-Spec but the GV70 I test drove had some sort of suede on the seats and I would have preferred a Nappa leather instead. But that's just me and it wouldn't have been a deal breaker.

I’ve also never liked it for the “stickiness” reason you mentioned, but I gotta say Acura did an awesome job with the design. I love how it is just a strip of suede that narrows near the front and top of the seat. So I never feel stuck.
I can't comment on these newer vehicles but the setup in the TSX SE was great and I liked how it was never too hot in the summer/too cold in the winter and it held up great, over the years it looked way better than the leather sides did.
