2022 RDX Temperature Update (*C to *F)
Hello All,
We recently purchased a 2022 RDX (A-Spec Advance) that was originally from Canada. In fact, the dealer we purchased it from were the ones who imported it based on the records. For having 50k on it, the car is in great shape and has performed well other than being fuel hungry, which is no different from our 2007 RDX. Only things I have done are undercoating, replaced the rear door checks (noisy), LF lower trim (black bumper), LF keyhole cover, and RR window run channel (was folded in)
On annoyance is that the ambient temp and climate control temps are both in Celsius. The physical cluster was apparently changed because MPH is on the outer ring. There was one other (older) post on here for the same issue on a 2019 and the proposed resolution was replacing the climate control display with a US spec but the owner decided against it. My question is, has anyone done this on a 3G RDX and had success? If so, what was involved?
I have already ruled out simple programming via a call with the dealer (assuming the info is accurate). He told me this was a fairly common question and that programming alone wouldn't change the reading. Said they had 3 on the lot currently with the same concern. From what I am seeing, there is a module and a display for the climate control system. Each can be had for around $100. I am not sure if anything else is involved as Charm only goes up to 2014 on these at the moment.
