2022 RDX Aspec VS platinum elite (advance-US) noise rating

Hello everyone,

I'm deciding between the 2022 rdx Aspec or the platinum elite Aspec (that's how they named the advanced package in Canada I suppose). I come from a 2018 Tlx aspec p-aws and one of the main reason I chose the tlx back then is due to the ANC and firm but comfortable ride.

The 2018 tlx came with amplitude reactive dampers. I noticed that the advanced package has adaptive dampers. Would this be similar technology?

Wondering if anyone got to test drive both? The dealerships around only have the advance to test drive.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Yes there is a difference. In simple terms the adaptive is active vs passive on the amplitude dampers. It should provide a more comfortable ride.

The suspension will also changed based on the driving mode if you have adaptive suspension.

The material/spec sheet available online doesn't seem consistent b/w the US and Canada. On the regular RDX, certain dealerships in the US are advertising that they have amplitude reactive dampers i.e the double piston dampers. Is it safe to assume that the non-adaptive dampers are just the reactive ones similar to the ones in my 18' tlx?

Yes I think so. Only the Advance and ASpec/Advance have adaptive suspension.
