2020 RDX - three chimes when driving

2020 RDX Advance SH-AWD owner. While driving today I kept on hearing three chimes but saw no warning lights. It repeated every few minutes. Looked for an explanation in the manual but couldn't find any. Help?

It might be the ACC system telling you that it's lost the car in front of you, or the LKAS system telling you that it has lost the lane. I'm not sure if that's the sound you are hearing, but if it is, both sounds can be turned off if they bother you.

Was it a rapid three chimes or a slow bonging? If there's no message in the CID, I'd take it to the dealer. I'm thinking it could be the seatbelt warning or you left without the key in your pocket. From what I can remember, any time the car makes a noise at you, it will give you the reason on the CID, including the seatbelt.

It's 3 in succession, about 1 second apart. No visual indicators or messages. I have made an appointment with the dealer. Will update when I find out what it is. Thanks for the assistance.

Yeah that sounds like seatbelt or maybe door ajar warning. I think I remember hearing that when I was having problems with my hatch not closing.

Even with the door ajar, the car won't allow you to move in any gear. I was pulling it into my garage and didn't close the door all the way after getting out ... didn't think it was a big deal as I was just pulling it in and then getting out. Nope. Car would shift back into park until I closed the door completely.

Ah yes, I think that's true about the doors. I believe it's possible with the hatch though.

Did you have any bags on the passenger seat? It could be that the sensors thought someone was sitting there unbuckled.

A seatbelt light would have been on.

Well if something is malfunctioning, maybe not...
