2019 RDX top speed
I know that might sound childish but most of us here bought the RDX for a reason, normally for me it is a nice overall SUV with a nice engine and sporty performance and handling, and great for Detroit streets with all the cracked asphalt and pot holes!
however I was shocked today as I finally had the chance to drive a bit fast that it limits itself to 110mph give or take 2mph.. that’s in sport plus mode and S drive!
anyone tried to push their RDX to the max?

Yeah, RDX is electronically speed-limited to way less than the top end of that "lawn mower".
( Which is just as well, cuz if you got it to more than 130 mph or so without a proper front air dam, you would probably start to float the front wheels and that could get really ugly. )

110 mph sounds about right. I've heard / read on the internets that some / most / all Hondas / Acuras are governed at that speed. Of course, I wouldn't know because I drive 54 mph, I leave the labels on my mattresses and I floss.

My 03 CL Type-S (supercharged) cutoff is 150.
I've done it quite a few times actually.
I wasn't sure about what was stopping it right @ 150 so I tried both 5th and 6th: it's got about 1k left in 5th gear and tons in 6th.
It could definitely go more but it's limited @ 150.

My BMW hit the limiter at 130, because of the tires. Had I bought the sport package with different tires, the limiter would have been set at 155.
I hit that limiter on the Autobahn, in Germany. There is no place in the USA where one should go over 100. Especially not in an SUV.

My old 2003 Honda Accord EX was limited to 125. Thereabouts seems the norm.

RDX is 112 all day every day.
That's it.
I hit it twice in a loaner and was like
Cadillac got me to 157 and I backed off...all 20 pistons were working to bring that fat bitch back to normal speed too...
speed is no joke.

I've always tortured loaner vehicles when I get the chance. Best way to find out about braking, handling, acceleration, and top speed. Never get much past 85-90 max in my own vehicles a few times in the +8 years I usually own them.

Cops love when you bullshit them.
I would have told him I have a roll of TP in my car
I'll provide cover, go ahead and shit, son.
Nobody cares...I do have a stretch of the famed US27 on my way to work
there's room, nobody around and there's a portion that nobody really polices...
good place to see what fast feels like but there's no actual use for it. I'm used
to being able to push the limit though and I was surprised to have topped out at
112 in the RDX.

I had our 1G RDX at 103 mph a few years ago... It could definitely do more, but got slow after 97 or so.
I felt I was covering too much distance per second the the road I was on and was worried about wildlife running out, like a deer.
This was almost 3 years ago and I have never gone thst fast since.
Now a couple months ago, ny friends friend was going 190 mph on a Honda 1000 bike, so go figure...
It wasn't me.
I've seen 1G RDXs achieve about 130-145 or so with a tune. I'm sure the 3G would do better!
