Hahah I think the RX is priced more like the MDX, but size wise it's between the MDX and RDX, and I think it's closer to the RDX. The next model down from RX is the NX, and that is much smaller than the RDX, not to mention way slower. It doesn't really stand a chance against the RDX, despite being priced similarly.

It's not quite the same though. The main difference is that the Type R engine uses a much bigger turbo. It also uses its own high flow fuel injectors and the pistons are different. Of course the tune is different as well.

Having said that, it's very easy for Honda to tune the RDX in that video for another 20-30hp. In that case, it would have no problem dusting the competition.
