MDX Safety Recall: Soft or Low Brake Pedal

Spoke with my service writer at my local dealership who's been there twenty plus years he asked the technician what was involved with bleeding the brakes per the recall he said it's a bear at least a three-hour job I'm scheduled for this Thursday coming at 9 a.m. I'll keep you guys posted... By the way I got my recall notice today in the mail my dealership had not heard about it until when I called him...

I was at the dealership less than 2 hours. And that included them looking at the rear hatch. Brake bleed sequence takes maybe 30 minutes to accomplish.

Do your vehicles show as affected by the recall online or on acura owner's site? Havent received any mail so far though my VIN is in the range (owner's site shows no recalls for my specific VIN though) and the dealer said I would get a letter if affected by it..

So how does this work for Acura? If my VIN is in the range am I impacted for sure despite not receiving the notice yet and the owner's site still saying no recalls? My dealer (Acura Pleasanton) said that I should have received a notice or see it online if I was impacted....

Whether its in range or not is immaterial. If the dealer does not see it on the list, dont worry about it. Mine was on the list, but I noticed no difference in braking before or after.

Cool, just confirmed again, no recalls, guess I got lucky. On a side note, taking the wife's Audi A6 for it's sixth recall in as many years next week, fun times

your dealer must be a cheap skate. When I made my appointment I asked and was scheduled to get a loaner. When I arrived I asked how long it would take. Told about an hour. So I decided to just wait.
