Lost garage remote
Hi
just bought a 2016 MDX and looking to program the garage door but don't have the remote control. Is there a way to do do this without a remote?

It might depend on the Garage door opener. I've never been able to program my homelink for my Genie system without using the remote also. I still have to hit the learn button on the back of the garage door opener after I sync the hand held remote to the homelink button.

2016 MDX Adv/SHAWD
Correct step 1: sync remote frequency to car, step 2: sync opener's rolling code to car (learn function). Just find your model # and buy one off amazon or ebay for 10 bucks.

I did not use a remote to program my mdx. Almost all garage openers (unless you have a really old one) has a LEARN button on the backside (sometimes you have to remove a light to do so). Good example vid:
Just a note that I had to park my MDX right under the opener though. The transmitter in our MDXes has a short range unless you have a clear LOS.
