Hey guys! Couple of weeks ago someone hit my car while it was parked and snapped the plastic trim in the rear bumper that holds the exhaust decorative pieces. I already bought the replacement part (Garnish, Rear Bumper Face Skid - Acura (71510-TZ5-A10), and i just started, but i dont see how to remove the trim itself... Do i have to remove the rear bumper? Or can the rear trim be removed by itself and it is held in place by the strongest clips known to man???
One of the sites that sell online honda/acura parts should have instructions. Look for one that shows how to instal back up sensors. That should cover it for you.
yeah, remove the rear bumper and you will see how the clips are attached.
with the bumper on, YOU cant see how it's attached...removing the bumper will allow you to see how it's attached and how you can remove.
Most likely a push clip, meaning push the protruding lip down and out of the retaining hole...Gotta do this for all the clips in the trim, maybe like 5-10 of them
