I feel the need...
In my very limited test drives of the new MDX, sport is best at replicating the feel of the Gen2. Ironically enough, that what I like the best about our '08 Tech is the weightier steering feel but what my wife dislikes.
I understand everyone is going to EPS, but that is my biggest beef with my 6MT TL. The steering is just way too overboosted and vague, especially at highway speeds.

Sport mode for me! The electronic dampers are in the sportiest setting in Sport or Sport+ mode. Occasionally use Sport+ mode at a stop because this mode disable Auto Stop/Start for a quicker get away when needed for the sport hybrid MDX. Never tired Comfort or Normal modes.

I usually use Comfort mode in my 19 advance as it softens the suspension to make the ride smoother for casual everyday driving and road trips. If I may need to drive somewhat more aggressively then Normal, and occasionally if I really want to hammer on it then Sport (but that's rare). If it weren't for the softened suspension (meaning I had a MDX without active dampers) then I'd probably just stay in normal most of the time.
